Northern Improvement Company (NIC) is a Highway/Heavy Construction company that has been in operation since 1935. NIC has offices in Fargo, Bismarck, and Dickinson, North Dakota.
NIC has a variety of operations in the upper Midwest, including its Oil Field Services Operation. NIC is also involved in asphalt and concrete paving; concrete flat and formwork; site preparation and development; lined and unlined pond construction; dam construction; reclamation work; aggregate mining; and specialty underground utility installation including PVC, fiberglass and poly pipelines, fiber optic phone, and electrical lines utilizing plows, excavators, trenchers and horizontal directional drills.
Oil Field Services Operations
NIC's Oil Field Services Operations has licensed water and sewer installers, certified fusers and has the capability of fusing HDPE pipe in sizes from 1.5" to 24". NIC has a vast fleet of trucks that can perform a variety of services for the oil field. Trucks are available for hauling aggregates, fluids, product, equipment, and waste. All NIC drivers are D.O.T. qualified and adhere to Federal Highway Administration Regulations.
